One dealt with Adobe PhotoShop and the other with AdobeLiveCycle. The Livecycle one was not what I signed up so I was somewhat disappointed because I was looking forward to learning the moviemaker program so I could do our video book project. The Livecycle workshop was interesting, but hard to follow since I could not partcipate. The Photoshop workshop was better because I was able to be a part of the class. I learned how to do some crazy things to photos like make them look old or make old black and white ones have color. I also learned how to clone and erase blemishes. I now know why everyone on a magazine cover looks so darn perfect. I'd love to be able to do that to myself...lol. The people running the workshop were kind enough to let me sign up for a free Adobe Photoshop program so I am looking forward to getting that very soon! Now I just have to find my digital camera and learn how to use it:)

FETC 1

I went to my first FETC conference. I was simply amazed by all the people that were there considering before January 9th I had never even heard of this conference. Is the conference always this large? Is it always held in Orlando? How come I've never heard of it before? All questions I need answers to. The number of vendors was astounding. The only place I have ever seen that many is at national conferences. Some of the products they were offering just floored me. There was so much I would love to do. I think I may have to learn how to write grants so I can stay in step.
I was also amazed how much the individual sessions cost, somewhere around 230$ each. I ran into some people who were attending three or more and wondered where they got that kind of funding. Maybe someone can give me a little background on the whole FETC. I went to the website and looked around a little. I just can't believe how far behind I am in knowing what kinds of things are available techologically speaking.
